Greek Food!

When traveling to Greece there is not doubt that you will eat some wonderful food and fresh seafood. In Greece it is law for the restaurant to have the menu and prices posted on the outside of the building so that customers can browse the menu before stepping into the restaurant. There is usually a waiter standing outside trying to entice you to enter. Many times Greeks ignore the menu and order custom orders  and order much more than they can eat. With every meal, you always get a Greek salad and Fresh seafood is very popular. Most Greeks don't eat until 10:00pm and it can last until late into the evening!

Greek salad usually consists of tomatoes, cucumbers, red onions, green pepper, feta cheese, and kalamata olives. It can usually be eaten as a main dish or side dish.

  1. I went to the annual greek festival down near the waterfront last year, and I had greek food for the first time. It really wasn't what I was expecting, it was way better!!! My favorite part were the desserts, the had fresh baklava, it was great.

  2. I must have a little Greek hertitage in me as I've often been accused of having some great need to create my own menu items wherever I go. lol
